After a month in Key West, we finally thought we had a 48 hour crossing window to make it to Morgans Bluff. We were wrong...or rather, the forecasts continuously changed -- for the worse. Not unsafe, but just VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. This was not the Gulf Stream Crossing we had last year.

En esta ocasión hemos ido a inspeccionar una jarcia firme a un velero Bavaria 42 en el puerto Azimut Norte, en San Adriån de Cobres. La revisión de obenques estays y backstays en imprescindible. Los fabricantes aconsejan su cambio a los diez años. Si observas cualquier óxido en los cables y sobre todo en los terminales, debes sustituirlo en seguida, ya que es muy probable que estos rompan con el consiguiente desarbolado del palo. Revisa muy a menudo tu jarcia. Asà mismo, es muy importante llevar bien la tensión de la jarcia. Una jarcia demasiado tensa o demasiado floja puede desembocar también en una rotura de la jarcia con la posterior rotura del måstil
