This Competent Crew course is ideal if you have none or little sailing experience. You will become a valuable crew member and an asset onboard any yacht you sail on. You will sleeping and eat on board (Apart from the odd evening meal out in a pub or restaurant if you choose!) you will learn lots about sailing, life on board, and how fun it is. You will stay at a different marina or anchorage or harbour each night. The course is best taken over 5 consecutive days or over 2 weekends (a short and a long). The learning involved includes but is not limited to: Knowledge of sea terms and parts of a boat Rigging and sails Sail handling Ropework and knots Fire precautions and fighting Personal safety equipment Man overboard procedure Emergency equipment Meteorology Seasickness Helmanship Etiquette You will have a qualified and friendly instructor to teach you everything you need to know. You’ll meet like-minded people. There’s a good chance you’ll leave with new friends alongside your new sailing skills. There’s also delicious fresh food and fresh sea air to match. Each day is action-packed. We enjoy breakfast at around 8am or earlier, and you’ll normally be in a marina for a hot shower by 6pm. Supper on board (unless you want to eat ashore) and then if time a trip to the pub. We tailor each course depending on the wind, tide, and your preferences. Some nights we’ll drop anchor, and others we’ll tie onto a buoy. We will also go for an evening sail to try out sailing in the dark, which is great fun! Lo so, questo non è un post per tutti. Il mondo potrebbe dividersi tra amanti degli animali e non. Tra amanti dei cani e amanti dei gatti. Stasera che tu faccia parte degli uni o degli altri, potrai capire di cosa parliamo. Pensaci un secondo. Un esserino peloso. Piccolo, ma rotondo. Delicato. Curioso. Affamato a qualsiasi ora del giorno, in cerca di coccole in qualsiasi ora del giorno. Ecco. Aggiungiamo che vivevamo insieme. Che ogni risveglio era con lei. Che andare a dormire era con lei. Che un film era con lei. Abbiamo preferito, per il suo bene, evitarle un viaggio così mosso, sheckerato, imprevedibile. Così è rimasta dai miei, dove sono cresciuto, in un luogo che già conosceva. Sono passati i giorni, i mesi e da poco possiamo dire anche l’anno. E ora, dopo così tanto tempo, siamo di nuovo insieme. Un gatto è un animale indipendente. Quando dà affetto è perché lo vuole davvero condividere (o richiede semplicemente cibo e Mia questo sa farlo in grande stile😎). Oggi abbiamo davvero fatto il pieno. Noi e lei. Ci mancavamo e ce lo siamo detti. Ci siamo ritrovati e lo abbiamo celebrato insieme♥️ Da domani tornerà un pezzetto peloso di questo viaggio.
