As Trent and Lukasz were coming back to the boat last night they were met with views of every sailors worst nightmare - a boat on fire. Out in the La Brisas anchorage, off the coast of Perico Island, the chaotic glow of the fire lit up the night sky. Emergency crews worked to contain it but ultimately it burned to the waterline. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, but it did blanket the area in noxious fumes, some of which reach SV Liger. Sealing ourselves inside the hulls helped prevent exposure to it, but it was a stark contrast to the usual calm of the Amador Causeway. En el fondeadero de La Brisas, frente a la costa de la isla de Perico, el caótico resplandor del fuego iluminaba el cielo nocturno. Los equipos de emergencia trabajaron para contenerlo, pero finalmente el barco se quemó hasta la línea de flotación. Afortunadamente, no se han reportado heridos, pero sí cubrió la zona con gases nocivos, algunos de los cuales llegaron hasta el SV Liger.
