In this video I show how to tie the rolling hitch, which is also called stopper hitch. We use the rolling hitch for example if we want to attach a line to another line that is tensed. For example when several boats are supposed to be towed with one single line. It is possible to shift the knot on the line in one direction and to the other direction it stops. A quick highlight from our recent trip to Riga, Latvia 🇱🇻, where Katia went behind the scenes at Latitude Yachts to see the LANIAKEA 88’ power catamaran taking shape. This is one of those milestones that never gets old — the moment the hull comes out of the mould and the project suddenly feels real. In the full film, Katia meets the team, walks you through key elements of the build, and shares some of the construction techniques that make a huge difference to strength, finish, and long-term quality. We also take a moment to show a bit of Riga itself (including the Christmas market) because the city is a big part of the story — this is where LANIAKEA is being built, and you really get a feel for the environment and the people behind the project. 🎥 Full behind-the-scenes episode is now live on our @yachtbuilders YouTube channel. If you enjoy shipyards, build processes, and seeing what goes into a project before launch, it’s well worth watching.

whilst we are enjoying the salty life of Padstow we have developed a severe addiction to this bakery. The Skipper swears by the Lemon & raspberry danish pastries! The baker prepares them fresh every morning and we time it to arrive at about 8:10 am when the window display is full. Send help!
