Potevamo andare in gommone? Sì. Potevamo andare in taxi? Domani lavoro e lavori a bordo. Dopodomani si riprende il largo. Restate aggiornati! Noi come sempre torniamo domani. 🫶 AC
BUYING A YACHT IN CROATIA: INSURANCE Insurance can be a challenge. Aquila notes the challenges of finding insurance, being a U.S citizen with a U.S flag boat in a foreign country and how he got it sorted. =========================== HUGE SHOUT OUT to Aquila and Dawn. Amazing couple to partner with in finding them their dream come true yacht in Croatia. Check their Facebook Page out and follow their adventures here: https://www.facebook.com/SailingDektos Listen to more of their story here ➡︎ ➡︎. https://youtu.be/-K4Ehi6SSEw =========================== Transcript Looking for insurance was a huge impact for us. The insurance we went through probably 15 different insurance agencies looking for someone who would insure the crossing for the Atlantic, insure the boat while it was in Croatia. And being a U.S citizen with a U.S flag boat in a foreign country not a lot of people were interested. The tip that we actually got that worked out was from Nick for UNIQUA Insurance and they were super helpful. Easy, it just fell right into place. Then came the mooring in order to have the insurance we had to have a mooring which meant that we would, we had to go back through and call just about every Marina in Croatia which there's a lot! =========================== ⛵️ ⛵️ Looking to buy a yacht in Croatia? What Sailing means to me. Sailing is a source of inspiration and humility, it teaches attentiveness, anticipation, resourcefulness, patience and prioritisation. The choice that we made to take a leap of faith and buy a sailboat has led to countless beautiful experiences and over time, we have grown to understand more about ourselves, each other, our boat & mother nature. We live our days on the ocean under the sky, moon, stars and sun, we witness the change of tides daily until it is clockwork in our brain. There's still a mountain of learning to be done, but today, we celebrate our growth. Chapter by chapter we turn the pages of our own syllabus trying to better ourselves by 1% everyday. "At first I was afraid I was petrified." Overtime, with practice and repetition, with knowledge we have gained through experience, fears are replaced by anticipation and I look forward to the growth ahead of us aboard Ujud as sailors.
