⛵Sailing Britaly⛵ We are Chris (British), Rossella (Italian), and Emma (Britalian!) We make informative sailing videos to help you achieve your cruising dreams. Subscribe, it's FREE! 🔔 http://bit.ly/SBYouTube⛵ You can expect to see the following kind of videos from us on our sailing channel: • Sailing Finances - We run a tight budget and we fund our cruising with our freelance jobs. Over the years we have been working to build flexibility into our lives and grow some simple investments. We intend to share all this with you. • Sailing Vlogs [a.k.a. Episodes] - These are our 'proper' sailing vlogs, where we share the highs and lows of our cruising adventures. • Latest Updates - Videos sharing what we've been up to recently. • Boat Work [Boat Maintenance] - I (Chris) am an ex-armed forces aircraft engineer (think car mechanic on jets [including a tour on The Red Arrows] and helicopters) and now work offshore piloting and maintaining ROVs (underwater robots). We aim to share what I have learnt since 1998 when I started working as an Engineering Technician. • Boat Recipes - We intend to make boat recipe videos where we will share Rossella's simple and delicious boat food ideas. • Yachtmaster Theory and Seamanship - Although we consider ourselves to be novice sailors, I have been working offshore (at sea - mostly on vessels, sometimes on platforms) since 2006. Since then, some years I have spent more days at sea than I have on land. I have also studied and passed the examination for the RYA Yachtmaster Theory qualification. We intend to share what we have learnt so far in our videos, to help people learn more about sailing, and the sea in general. If any of the above subjects interest you then subscribe to our channel! It's FREE, and if you tick on the bell symbol when you subscribe, you will receive notifications whenever we release a new video. Me gusta? Me suscribo? Tú decides =) Segunda parte: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxK8i-xwBLA Less and less time for filmiing, so here is this raw video. This is the best flight I could film. I'll upload a few more, with other wins and fails, but actually it uses to fly as well as you can see here, just gotta release the propeller right before the fuselage and everything goes OK. Construction details scrolling DOWN. Like? Subscribe? Up to you! Y si os gustó dadle a me gusta y pensad en suscribiros =) The propeller part is key; the model itself isn't hard to achieve. Just if the model can glide without the power of the propeller, it's fine; the propeller will do the final thrust. It's also key that the propeller is as light as possible, so that it doesn't cause the airplane to spin in the opposite direction. Mine is out of paper (instead of cardboard), rigidized by superglue to withstand the winding up. The fuselage is a simple one-turn paper cylinder. Since the rubber band is inside, the cylinder doesn't bend at all. The propeller group is reusable and splittable from the fuselage so it can be used on further models if current one breaks. And that's all folks! good luck to Aone and try to write your questions on private messages to my channel because I WON'T READ ANY COMMENT ON GOOGLE PLUS. Er...thumbs up? Subscribe? =)
It would be wonderful to win, so please cast your vote here: https://awards.classicboat.co.uk/restoration-of-the-year-under-40ft/ Our friends over at Berthon Boat Company have been nominated for the Classic Boat Awards, in the category ‘Restored sailing vessel under 40ft' for the extensive restoration of Brynhilde, a 1958 Fred Parker 10-metre wooden Bermudian sloop. https://www.youtube.com/c/BerthonBoats This is a testament to the extensive refit, expertly performed by Berthon’s highly skilled team. Well done to all who were involved in returning this beautiful classic sailing yacht to its former glory. The following series captures the extensive restoration of Brynhilde, a 1958 Fred Parker 10-metre wooden Bermudian sloop, who arrived here at Berthon on the 4th October 2019. She has been in her present family’s ownership for the past 40 years, competing in the Hill Robinson sponsored regattas in the south of France for over a decade, and most recently sailed at the 2021 Monaco Classic Week – La Belle Classe. Arriving for a deck replacement but undergoing broad further works, Brynhilde is a beautiful example of a timeless yacht refitted to an incredibly high standard. Traditional skills were used throughout this project. A talented team of Shipwrights, Engineers, Electricians, Riggers and Painters led by Dave Bolwell, more fondly known as Curly, dedicated thousands of hours to the careful refurbishment of a well-loved family yacht. - Restoration Playlist https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLebSOrLsZM0Rr8Ca3NsnONk6tSqyUxQHt - Project Overview https://youtu.be/PKEd8WPQMj8 PART 1 - Arrival & Inspection https://youtu.be/zuZ-W80fBIk PART 2 - Exterior Restoration https://youtu.be/tw2LO662mB4 PART 3 - New Deck https://youtu.be/hh1IVTRsHDg PART 4 - Interior Restoration https://youtu.be/iiB8_5Q-X_w PART 5 - Paint and Finishing Touches https://youtu.be/g6pXaG6g43k PART 6 - Launch & Stepping her mast https://youtu.be/4eNyqHMY8ds PART 7 - Sea Trials https://youtu.be/Xod0o1YF7vU - Deck Teaser https://youtu.be/heYt0sNAkxg Paint Teaser https://youtu.be/qE12_zIOiE0 Launch Teaser https://youtu.be/tVSXG7igTIU Mast Stepping Teaser https://youtu.be/VmaCrYZ5nkE Sea Trials Teaser https://youtu.be/Ic7Qlh_cRn4 #YachtRestoration #YachtRefit #ClassicYacht #WoodenYacht #BoatRestoration #MarineEngineering #TeakDeck #YachtPaint #Woodwork #ClassicBoat #BoatBuilding #Shipwright #Lymington #Sailing #Berthon
