Today in the lead-up to the Coastal Race, which is a warm-up event to the Rolex Middle Sea Race, we saw a number of yachts out prepping. We caught Remon Voss’ Black Jack coming back after testing new sails. The fleet are spread around seven marinas in the Marsamxett Harbour where the RMYC is located, as well as Valletta Grand Harbour. Marsamxett Harbour will be the start location of the Coastal Race tomorrow (Wednesday 13th) at 9.00am and the Grand Harbour will be the start location of the main race on Saturday, October 17 at 11.00am. Having won Line Honours for the last two years, Christian Beck and his crew continued their winning style being the first out of the Sydney Heads again. Unfortunately, they couldn’t hold the lead with Master Lock Comanche taking out the win with LawConnect crossing the finish line forty seven minutes later.
