The mission: build a custom aluminium part from scratch in the Delos boatyard — the same yard where Delos 2.0, one of the most ambitious custom aluminium sailboat builds in cruising history, is taking shape. Welcome back to another episode of WE|Sail. Last episode, we left you hanging. Warren's nav panel project hit a snag—one component failed, and we had to wait weeks for a replacement part. Well, it finally arrived, and today Warren's finishing what he started. But that's not the only thing happening in this episode. We're exploring our first Fijian village, meeting locals, and learning about life beyond the resorts and tourist spots. We do a quick Sevusevu ceremony—presenting kava to the village as a sign of respect—which grants us permission to anchor and explore freely. We also bushwhack our way up a hill for an incredible view... until Warren has a complete meltdown over a spider. And just when we think we're settled for the day, the anchorage conditions shift. The winds pick up, and we're forced to move around to the other side of the island for better protection. What could've been frustrating turns into one of the most beautiful afternoon sails we've had in Fiji—stunning scenery, perfect wind, and a reminder that sometimes the unexpected moments are the best ones. Welcome back to another episode of WE|Sail. In this episode, Warren tackles one of the biggest upgrades we've done on the boat, rewiring our entire nav panel, the brain of our electrical system. But living on a boat means your home is also your workshop. The salon becomes a wiring station, tools take over every surface, and there's no escape from the chaos until the job is done. Despite the temporary mess I have to live in, the guy does really amazing work. He's a jack of all trades, and honestly? I'm lucky to have him constantly making our home better and better. His skills are top notch. It's just the name of the game living on a boat—your home is the workshop until the job's done. And then... one component didn't work. Three weeks later, we're still waiting for the replacement part. So while we waited, we did what we do best...explored! Dingy adventures with black tip reef sharks, climbing trees for coconuts, unauthorized beaches (oops), and beach bonfires with friends. Because sitting around staring at a broken panel? Not really our style. This is boat life. Welcome back to another episode of WE|Sail. There's something about these Fijian islands and survival. Survivor was filmed here. Castaway was filmed here. So when we discovered Tom Hanks' Castaway island was just a few miles away, we had to see it for ourselves—and honestly? Imagine if we could actually survive out here. In this episode, we anchor in a downpour (of course, right as we're dropping the hook), Warren finally gets our dive compressor working, and we go on our first scuba dive since being back on the boat. Seven years ago, before we even bought this boat, getting our dive certifications was the first thing we did—so we could do exactly this. Then we set off to explore the island where they filmed Castaway with Tom Hanks. We walk the beaches, hike to the summit, and talk about whether we could actually do it if we had to. Spoiler: we're really glad we have the boat. These Fijian islands remind us so much of the Marquesas—our first landfall when we sailed across the South Pacific four years ago. Same dramatic volcanic landscapes and raw beauty, but with incredible coral reefs and pristine sand beaches. Welcome back to another episode if WE|Sail. After eight months away, we're finally back on our sailing catamaran VA in Fiji - but our first week doesn't go quite as smoothly as we hoped! Less than 48 hours after arriving, we're prepping for our first cyclone of the season while tackling the massive job of deep cleaning the boat. VA hasn't been lived on for three months, and any boat owner knows what that means - mold, dust, and some unexpected wildlife that's moved in (sorry birds, we're back!). We spend our time reorganizing, cleaning, and getting the boat ready while waiting out the storm in the marina. After a couple days of rain and wind - and one epic sunset - the cyclone shifts north and misses us completely. Finally, we escape the marina and get back out on anchor where we belong. There's nothing quite like that feeling of setting the hook, jumping in for a swim, and cracking a passage beer. After everything we've been through to get here - the travel, the prep, the waiting - it finally feels like we're exactly where we're supposed to be. Welcome back to another episode of WE|Sail! As we close out this year and step into 2026, we wanted to take a moment to look back before we look forward. This past year has been our most challenging yet - filled with incredible highs and devastating lows. From our time exploring New Zealand and living the van life, to hosting amazing charters in some of the world's most beautiful places. From my Achilles tendon surgery that changed everything about our plans, to the strain it put on our relationship and the months we spent apart. We faced loss this year - saying goodbye to a dear friend and Warren losing his father. We navigated pain, uncertainty, and moments where we weren't sure what our future would look like. But we also found our way back. To each other, to VA, and to this life we've chosen. This year taught us more than any other - about resilience, about what really matters, about holding on and knowing when to let go. It was a rollercoaster we never saw coming, but one that shaped us in ways we're still discovering. As we stand here now, finally home on VA and ready to start this new chapter, we wanted to share this journey with you. Not just the highlights, but the real, raw, difficult parts too. We hope this video inspires you to take a moment and reflect on your own year - the lessons learned, the growth experienced, the challenges overcome. Welcome back to another episode of WE|Sail! We had done about a week of good hard work to prep the boat for this long sail north to Hawai'i and now it was go time!! It had been a good week and we had been able to tackle just about every known issue with this well used, 13 year old boat, as well as gotten to experience a bit of the beauty around Tahiti, but now it was time to shove off and brave the open ocean once again, but not before one quick visit to our favorite underwater neighbors at Sharks & Rays in Moorea!
