We arrive to Port Villa - Vanuatu capital on Efate Island and dive into simple joys and pleasures: friends, shows, nice places and chill… So needed time to relax after much sailing and exploring Tanna…
Fire shows, beaches, blue lagoons and luxury villa… And GOOD food :)
After full on indulging we take off again - to Epi island, where we look for dugongs / sea cows - big underwater mammals that are not so easy to find… And guess what - we don’t find them, but our crew enjoys seeing their very fist big turtles… Join us!

We finish up the work on Aquarius' bimini at Yacht Haven Marina, then sail South to Naiharn Beach. After a few days on the beach, and visiting friends, we head to Koh Phi Phi. The Island is not that busy, but we take part in the last Ibiza Pool Party in 2020. We are starting to see the effect of Covid 19 on the sailing community. So much for the OLD NORMAL.

We also have a problem with the engine sea water cooling system. Though we are not able to repair the problem, we think we may know why!

While wrapping up our stay in Panama, and just two days away from a planned departure to Ecuador, Aquarius is hit by an MPMA launch. The accident forces Z and I to stay in Panama a few weeks longer to fix the damaged bow of Aquarius. After that, we spend a week in beautiful Las Perlas islands, watch a huge pod of dolphins, and finally ...... finally!!! ...... we set sail for Ecuador.

As last time we had to perform some "acrobatics" with Aquarius trying to set up ourselves for easier crossing back to Tanga from Pemba - it paid off!
After getting our anchor up, which wasn't fully cooperating with us on early departure we took off for the passage - which is not particular long, but 3knts currents and 20+kts winds from south insisted on altering our course, but it actually was a really nice and enjoyable sale.
As we got back to Tanga - all excited for upcoming trip to South Africa with our friends we got some mixed news - Zivile needs visa (and doesn't have one)! So we haphazardly decide to go to town and get tickets to tomorrow bus going to Dar Es Salaam and visit South Africa Embassy ASAP...
And... there was a soccer game that we decided to check out and was not disappointed!

Last week we moved from the busy Marmaris, where we spent few weeks to very picturesque and quiet bay next to Datca - small touristy town where we got to visit our friend.
Now we are on a move again - we heard from our friends about all these cool places where the boats dock right next to the restaurant - what a cool experience. Just around the corner where we are there’s quite a few of them! The sail is fairly short, only couple of hours and it seemed that we had a perfect wind for that!
But after that - it wasn't as smooth... To say the least... Join to witness!

After not so easy sail from Egypt we arrive in Jordan, Aqaba fairy tale look a like Ayla Marina. We savor the delicious meals, delightful looks and cheap internet. What else one might need? Exercise :D After nearly 3 days sail we need some action and movement and find just right that in the same development as our marina. We lost ourselves as kids in a playground.

We visit rest of ABC islands - Klein Curaçao, which looks like a movie set, Curaçao and the capital Willemstad with a moving bridge and a happy island Aruba, where no flamingos found but instead we did nice snorkel by the wreck!

The Rally starts in Landhoo Maldives on March 1st, 2023. They will provide checkin and checkout services through a local agent, and you will be able to arrive at Landhoo. No need to checkin at a different location.
Z Admiral and I have talked with many sailors that have passed through the Maldives, many have said their time in the Maldives was not as enjoyable as we had on Aquarius. But, none of the Sailors that had anything negative to say about the Maldives attended the Savaadheeththa Dhathuru Yacht Rally. This Yacht Rally is well worth any cost. A few of the biggest benefits of the Rally that no one really talks about - You get to meet and have conversations with 1) Maldives Government Officials, 2) Maldives CoastGuard officials, 3) and the Maldives Police. You will know and understand all the rules and regulations while you continue cruising the Maldives after the Rally. This is huge, because you will get the information from the source, not second hand. We love this event, and hope to see all the people next year for the 2023 Savaadheeththa Dhathuru Maldives Yacht Rally.
If you will be crossing the Indian Ocean in 2023, make it a point to arrive on the island of Landhoo on or before March 1st, 2023. You can sail from India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, or Australia if you're going West or North West. Or, you may also sail South East from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, or Bahrain. No matter where you are, if will be crossing the Indian in 2023 make a point to stop in the Maldives for the Rally.

We leave the main island Mahé to explore more of the Seychelles. Secluded beaches and quiet resorts... Seems so like the paradise, but we miss our friends...
So we drop everything to go see them again! Also --- get a catamaran? Or not? Can't tell you this yet, but we did explore the island and some windy crazy roads...
But that's not it yet! We have a quality times with friends and some spooky places... (you have to see that one) And after you see - please tell us - are we crazy?

After leaving beautiful anchorage in Lindos, Rhodes we took off. The winds were not perfect, but at least they were not against us. So slowly, taking our time we motor-sailed East towards Turkey.
Our destination Fethiye, according to many - one of the nicest places in Turkey! And it is!

As we leave St. Barth due to upcoming storm we head to Sint Maarten (in dutch), where we anchor on the Dutch side in Great Bay. Waiting out the storm, provisioning and exploring French side of Saint-Martin. Taking off to British Virgin Islands and during 14 hours sail fly the spinnaker.

Back in Langkawi we getting ready to leave but before we need to get a long stay Visa for Ken. We visit Surin, who will help us as visas for Thailand are not issued in Langkawi, only Penang and Kuala Lumpur. After that is taken care of we have to wait for the visa couple of days and in that time we will have some good time - first we leaving Telaga Harbour Marina and go anchor next to Royal Langkawi Yacht club.
We take fun day trip island hopping, visiting Kilim Geoforest park and have a blast. This place has so much to offer.... Join us!
