We left Bali and headed up Lombok Strait up north. 480NM journey zigzagging between fisherman’s boats, nets and fishing traps was no joke, but we did it again. Just to face shallow entry into Kumai, where we will take overnight tour aboard a power boat… Our intentions to meet orangutans in the wild - and we get tangled into drone drama… We lost our drone… in the jungles… We hire locals to take us search trying to find it but unsuccessfully. Drone drama aside we had very special experience in Tanjung Putting National Park - we visited 3 different camps: Camp Leakey, Pundok Tanggui and Tanjung Harpan. There we met hundred orangutans... While Aquarius is on the hard, nice and cosy in a cradle, and with our time in New Zealand is coming to an end, we take off for a ROAD TRIP around the North and South Islands. At this point, we find out that our friends will be cruising in Croatia in about three weeks or so.
Keeping in mind that we still have to plan carefully as Meltemi winds won’t make it easy for us going north, therefore we will take every opportunity we can to get to Athens as soon as possible.
We finally reached Athens and anchored in this superb spot. It was a treat! BUT it was quite impossible to find a place to leave the boat and dingy for a day and go explore the city. Plus we still needed fuel and water, as our water maker is currently being repaired. Therefore we decided to go to the marina - only the question is - can we find a place and visit Acropolis???

After leaving Panama we start our longest sail so far - 660 miles to Ecuador Salinas and we cross the Equator (it's a BIG thing for sailors). We arrive to Puerto Santa Lucia, visit Salinas with it's popular beaches and few days later take 5 hours bus journey to Cuenca - historical city in the mountains. Being nearby next stop - "Poor Man's Machu Picchu" - Ingapirca - Incan ruins. From there --- we are off for Pacific Ocean crossing! Join us!

This island is a treat for us - it's so different from what we have been seeing for a while. Very different and unique - no sandy beaches to pull up your dinghy, just a semi automated lift (!) and many caves and lots of rocks! And a bar that is open only on Sunday's afternoons and you serve your drinks yourself ;) Haven't seen this one yet, did you?

Two other guests arrive aboard Aquarius and we take off from Krabi Boat Lagoon. Our initial destination - Phuket Yacht Haven where we will get our engine checked by Volvo Penta. We jump in an open water as it's a hot day without much wind and have some fun! We were enjoying Seychelles, leisurely exploring the islands and beaches - this time so called “creme de la creme” La Digue.
With favorable winds we come back to main island Mahe, and capital Victoria - it’s time for us to renew our visas and do some paperwork duo to boat import - and it’s just not going well.
Things are way more complicated and expensive to what was anticipated, and there’s a week of a good wind taking us to our next destination Tanzania, so we decide to roll with punches and just go. Together with Sailing Zatara.
So… we will see you in Tanzania, but for now - join us in Seychelles ;)

Aquarius arrived to Mo'orea with Pacific Puddle Jumpers Rally and joined in the festivities. We also explore the beautiful island, hang out with other yachties, and watch black tip reef sharks, stingrays and whales! Randez-vouz is one of the Pacific Crossing celebrations that we joined as well as Tahiti - Moorea Rally and it's a double celebration for us as it's also Ken's birthday!
