I believe that one day I shall see South Riding Rocks with my own eyes. But not this time, which is now the third time that I have exited the Bahama Bank in the dark, relying on my chart plotter for safe passage. I departed Bullocks harbor bright and early, mind you, and with moderate southeasterly winds forecast I should have been at South Riding Rocks by sundown. But once again the wind evaporated in the afternoon, leaving me to drift while valuable time slipped away.
