This classic cocktail was originally found in the Cafe Royal Cocktail Book, published 1937 in London. Even thought this recipe made it's big debut in a British book, many believe that the recipe was created by an American simply because of it's name. The phrase, "Twisting the LIONS TAIL" was used during the revolution as a metaphor for provoking the British, whose royal coat of arms features a lion. Cocktail recipe Serves 1: (in the video Ryan is making drinks for two). 2oz bourbon 1/2 allspice dram Lime juice 1 Tsp Simple syrup Aromatic bitters 2 dashes Please let us know what you think of this one, we are really curious what you think!
