On November 20th 2024, our team, with the help of Holbæk Gamle Havns Beddinger brought Hawila back on the slipway. VIDEO CREDITS: Morten Løvschall The crew started early that day to put the last pieces of tarp into place, then Hawila's engine started rolling and we took her on her little tour through the fjord over to the Old Harbour of Holbæk, where the slipway is located. There, we were greeted by the fantastic team of the association behind the local slipway, who went straight into action. It took 3 hours to put her back on land but everything worked out great. We left to visit family and came back to wet bilges…we know Kotor Bay in Montenegro had severe rainstorms while we were gone. In preparation of being away from the boat we removed our Bimini and dodger which opened up the companionway for direct wind driven rain to penetrate. This is the result. We need to investigate our auto bilge pump as it appears to be locked up. In the meantime Shelly sopped up the water and Cass worked through a solution for the louvered doors.
