Dufour 36 Classic ' Sundowner'

** NOW SOLD ** ‘Sundowner’ is a 2000 Dufour 36 Classic. Designed by Mortain and Mavrikios, the Dufour 36 is known for its good sailing performance and well-appointed teak interior. The Dufour 36 Classic keeps the strong looks of the Dufour Classic line with hulls that are traditionally modern, with most of the volume aft and a reasonably low ballast/weight ratio. On deck, halyard and control lines are led aft to 2 coachroof winches and two banks of jammers. The teak cockpit is spacious, with good back support. The wheel steering gives a precise feel and ‘Sundowner’ is easy to sail ‘in the groove’. The mainsail is fully battened on luff cars with a stack pack for easy handling. The Genoa is set on a roller furler and controlled by two self-tailing winches in the cockpit. Anchoring is easy with the power winch and anchor chain wash. ‘Sundowner’ is the 2-cabin version with the spacious owner’s cabin upfront including a seating area and ample lockers. A spacious aft cabin is to port and a large head compartment to starboard, with an electric toilet, shower and holding tank. The linear, midship galley of the Dufour 36 Classic with stove, fridge and benchtop is set in a line along the starboard side. The navigation table and comfortable dinette are to port. The Volvo 2030 driving a three-bladed feathering propeller has been regularly serviced. ‘Sundowners’ was anti-fouled in February and polished in March 2023, and is ready for this upcoming season.
