The original design criteria called for seaworthiness and strength (hulls laid up to 200 mm above waterline, with 300 grms of kevlar /epoxy and 400 grms of double bias fibreglass/epoxy for almost bullet proof strength) and the ability to go anywhere on the planet. Setup to be single handedly sailed, if required, which is well proven after completing a 4-year world circumnavigation with her original owners.
