Tra un viaggio e l' altro in barca a vela nel Mediterraneo con la Maruzza, adoro esplorare i posti meno conosciuti e selvaggi del pianeta. Diversi anni fa e' toccato al Venezuela! Ho passato parecchio tempo negli Llanos, le pianure alluvionali che stanno tra l' Amazzonia e la costa tropicale. E' un posto davvero incredibile, infestato di piranha, caimani e ogni tipo di zanzare! La gente del posto e' dura come il cuoio stagionato ma anche accogliente e gentile e farsi ospitare in una fattoria sperduta nel niente e' davvero facile. Lì dominano i cavalli, le mucche e ogni tipo di fauna selvaggia, dalle anaconde ai caimani; dai delfini di fiume ai capipara, i piu' grandi roditori del mondo! Grossi come cani!! E' bellissimo ma anche un incubo! Vivevo nelle capanne dei locali procurandomi la cena come capitava, esplorando i fiumi in canoa e cercando di sopravvivere con quello che imparavo durante il cammino, Un' esperienza incredibile di liberta' che mi ha preparato per tutte le grandi avventure che poi sono seguite, dall' Africa, all' India ai grandi orizzonti del mare. Together, we face the unique dynamics and challenges of sailing as a couple, balancing off-grid life, sustainable sailing, and the demands of long-term cruising.
