? On Thursday May 22, Catana Group held an open day at its brand-new production facility for Yot, its new range of powercats. Located on the shores of a perfectly sheltered stretch of water in Aveiro, just south of Porto, in Portugal, the 5-acre (20,000 m²) site is adjacent to that of Xquisite Yachts. This is where the Yot 36 and 41 are produced, ahead of a larger model which we'll be hearing more about very soon. The shipyard will eventually employ 450 people and have an annual production capacity of 200 units. Schön, dass du hier bist! Wir, Emely und Tjark, haben uns den Traum vom eigenen Segelboot erfüllt, eine Maxi84, relativ spontan und ohne das ganz große Geld. Das Boot müssen wir noch umtaufen auf den Namen Meera. Wir nehmen dich mit auf unsere Reise von blutigen Anfängern zu hoffentlich passablen Seglern. Bevor wir uns in die Wellen stürzen können, liegt noch ein Berg an Arbeit vor uns. Umbauten, Änderungen und vor allem der Sportbootführerschein müssen erledigt werden.
