We sail on the good ship Saracen, a Beneteau Oceanis 473 from 2006. Out journey started in Scotland in early 2023 and our ultimate goal is to sail around the globe …..slowly. We make these videos mostly for family and friends and to create a record of our adventures for ourselves so that we can look back at them later in life, were not in it to make money (way to hard). Quando si vivono esperienze così piene e immersive il tempo sembra scorrere a un ritmo diverso. Non più veloce, non più lento, solo diverso. Le giornate sembrano sovrapporsi l’una all’altra, i momenti si fondono per creare una singola immagine riassuntiva del viaggio. Così come gli altri due giorni abbiamo navigato, per lo più a motore, controvento e controcorrente, per altre 130 miglia. L’unico vero cambiamento è stato veder scorrere territorio americano alla nostra sinistra, mentre costeggiavamo Porto Rico. Fino al tramonto non è avvenuto niente di significativo. Ma con il buio si svegliano le tenebre che portiamo dentro, e così anche le nostre paure. Temporali notturni e collisioni nella notte sono due tra gli eventi che abbiamo scampato per un soffio. Lo vedremo in modo più approfondito nella parte 2 di questo giorno! A presto C.
