The tour covers a total 20 kms distance, 4.5 hours journey including 2.5 hours ATV driving, 45 minutes rain forest walk and a 30 minutes log canoeing crossing of the Tamblingan lake. You will meet at 10.30 a.m. at the Munduk Wilderness Base Camp for your introduction and safety instructions for driving the Finn Komodo ATV. Start with a fun drive down to the Lake and visit the lakeside temple, before boarding log canoes, paddling across Tamblingan Lake. Head up into more challenging territory through mandarin and coffee plants, following earth tracks to the rainforest. Take a break for a short walk into the Rainforest, to see the luxuriant vegetation and wildlife. Bali is famed for the rich flavours of its coffee, and the first stop on this outing after a gentle downhill ride is a coffee plantation where you will experience some of Bali’s local coffee culture — the roasting of the beans on an open fire and pounding with a wooden pestle. Upon arrival at the Green Circuit, Here you will enjoy a couple of rounds of racing fun to get your adrenaline pumping! Enjoy the short 20-minute drive from here back to Munduk Wilderness Base Camp for early Dinner. Program Pick up from your hotel 10.00 – 10.30 Introduction and safety briefing at our base camp in Munduk Langki, while enjoying our welcome drink. 10.35 – 11.30 A fun and challenging drive down to Bali’s most serene lake, Lake Tamblingan, board a log canoe. 11.30 – 12.00 Rowing at lake Tamblingan, swimming is allowed from the boat, however, it is refreshing cold water! 12.00 – 12.30 A challenging up road drive via earth tracks, up to the edge of the rain forest, followed by a short walk. 12.30 – 13.00 Rain forest walk, with luck we may spot some tropical birds like Kingfisher, Woodpecker and wild monkeys. PICNIC LUNCH IS PROVIDED. 13.00 – 13.30 Set off for a challenging up-and-down drive via small dirt roads, to our coffee plantation. Update, Day 4: both Irish boats hold steady in Gold fleet at the Olympic qualifier in Lanzarote. A dramatic opening day of Gold fleet racing saw Robert Dickson and Sean Waddilove Team Dickson Waddilove 49er Ireland hold on to their third overall place in their quest to qualify Ireland for Tokyo 2021 with a third place followed by an impressive race win. In a repeat of Tuesday’s form, the pair were heading for a third top three result but were again disqualified for being fractionally over the line at the start. Ryan Seaton and Séafra Guilfoyle Out2Win Ryan & Séafra had a 13-11-14, and held onto 10th position. Ireland remains under threat from Italian boats in 12th, 15th and 16th places while Belgium hold 14th place. Thursdays’ Gold fleet series again features three races each day before a single fleet race on Friday to decide the top ten boats for the medal race final. “Gold fleet racing is full of swings and roundabouts and nothing can be taken as assured until the final race ends,” commented James O’Callaghan, Irish Sailing’s Performance Director. “As predicted at the start of the week, this series is going to go down to the wire on Friday.”
