I was diving in the territory of these 2 white tips. We come back every year and they are always around. They are very interested in what we are doing. These guys made me jump 3 times on this dive. I would turn my head to find a shark staring at me 3 feet away! Creepy but amazing. They are just curious, just like us.

M Magellan né en 1480 au Portugal Marin d'exception, parti en septembre 1519 pour une expédition au long cours soutenue par le roi d'Espagne Charles Quint. Objectif trouver une route des épices vers l'ouest. Le traité papale de Tordesillas ayant refilé la partie EST aux Portugais (route des Indes découverte par Vasco de Gama 1460) , l'Espagne n'avait d'autres choix que l'Ouest. (d'où Christophe Colomb 1492 ) A cette époque : - La puissance économique de l'épice, d'une valeur insensée. Le poivre se vendait au grain. - La carte de Ptolémée est la référence. Elle montre les océans Indien et Atlantique comme fermés par des terres inconnues. - 5 navires sont affrétés Trinidad, San Antonio, Conception, Santiago et Victoria le bien nommé Pour l'anecdote -Le premier homme parti de chez lui vers l'OUEST et de retour chez lui en arrivant de l'EST, après un tour du monde est l'esclave de Magellan : Henrique. -Magellan ne termine pas le voyage. Il meurt aux Philippines 27 avril 1521. Pas de sépulture. -06 sept 1522 retour du "Victoria" , avec 18 marins à bord, après un tour du monde. Conduit par un traitre à Magellan. Juan Sebastian Elcano qui reçu tous les honneurs pour cet exploit, par ce que Espagnole et surtout pas mort. Magellan est vite oublié de ses contemporains. - Le Victoria chargé d'épices rembourse les pertes des 4 navires et rapporte même un bénéfice ? -1520 Le Santiago fait naufrage avant le détroit. le San Antonio fait désertion et rentre en Espagne. -Le détroit est découvert le 27 novembre 1520. -Le détroit de Magellan n'a jamais vraiment servi à la navigation. 🧐Ce qu'il faut retenir après cet exploit : 😃La terre est maintenant ronde. (Planisphère de Ribéro 1529, est les océans Indien et Atlantique ouverts) 🧐La perte d'une journée, après un tour du monde, fait découvrir les fuseaux horaires. 👍 Une expéditions hors normes, tellement de paramètres inconnus faisaient face aux étraves de la flotte de Magellan. Bien au delà du premier homme sur la Lune. 😠 En ces temps de conquistadors barbares, Magellan dénote par son humanisme. 😠 Les débuts d'une mondialisation portée par la supériorité brutale ( à cette époque la religion le fer de lance ).
