Step aboard Aron of Svendborg and discover Denmark at a gentler pace - slow, sustainable and full of hygge moments. Owned and skippered by Gorm and Helene, she brings together traditional sailing, local knowledge and a welcoming, cosy atmosphere that makes every voyage feel easy and unhurried. Sailing from Svendborg through the Danish South Funen Archipelago, you’ll explore some of Denmark’s most magical islands. Wander the pine-forested trails on Lyø, spot white fallow deer on Drejø, taste ice cream on Skaaro, visit Bagenkop’s colourful fishing harbour on Langeland and soak up the fairy-tale charm of Ærøskøbing on Ærø. Life on board is relaxed and comfortable, with no night watches, private bunk cabins, a spacious saloon and plenty of deck space to enjoy the views. Sustainability sits at the heart of each voyage, from locally sourced produce to the quiet rhythm of moving between islands under sail. If you’re dreaming of island culture, calm seas, simple pleasures and traditional sailing wrapped in a hygge-like sense of ease, Aron’s 2026 season is ready to welcome you.
The so-called Lazy River is about 7nm from George Town. We visited this special spot twice. The second time, we essentially had the entire beach to ourselves for most of the day. It's very pretty and, IMHO, a must visit if you make it down to George Town and the Moriah Harbor National Park.
