With the theme of the 2020 RYA Dinghy Show being 'where will sailing take you?' we have compiled a series of interviews with sailors who used to be members of the Scottish Topper Squad. What have they been up to since they left the squad? Next up is Niamh Harper who, in her last year in the boat, won the Topper Series , came 3rd in the Topper Nationals and 3rd at the Topper Worlds in Garda. What is she up to at the moment?

Ebbene sì. Oggi è lunedì. Quindi riprende la settimana, riprende il lavoro e riprendono le chiamate con i clienti. Dopo una giornata produttiva e piena di buone notizie lavorative, prendiamo il gommone e andiamo a fare un bagno. Planiamo a 20 nodi verso una spiaggia bianca e fine fine, ormeggiamo il gommone tirandolo sulla spiaggia e ci tuffiamo. Che mondo laggiù e che vita! Pesci di tutti i tipi! Eravamo abituati a occhiate e pesciolini, qui abbiamo colori, dimensioni e forme incredibili. Ci divertiamo a scoprire i fondali della baia subito sud di dove siamo ormeggiati e torniamo a preparare cena. Un lunedì ordinario di una vita straordinaria. Buon lavoro a tutti, -4 al weekend! Giorno 75 - L’acqua dolce a bordo. Iniziamo a entrare nei meandri più nascosti della barca. Oggi vi portiamo a scoprire i segreti che si celano sotto alla panchetta di un divano: la pompa dell’acqua :) Come spiegato nel video, siamo abituati a vivere in barca con 1000 litri di acqua dolce per volta. Da domani, la nostra indipendenza dai porti potrebbe cambiare drasticamente, diventando illimitata la disponibilità di acqua dolce potabile a bordo. Questo significa che non sarà più necessario centellinare l’acqua per le docce, potremo sciacquare il ponte dopo navigazioni “salate” e soprattutto non dovremo più portare mille casse di acque dai supermercati. Si l’alizé ne s’est pas montré très vigoureux, réduisant à portion congrue les régates à la voile au profit de convoyages au moteur, la bonne humeur était bien au rendez-vous. L’objectif des Echappées Belles est d’ailleurs avant tout de passer un moment convivial, de s’amuser sur l’eau, de profiter de belles escales tout en rencontrant de nouveaux équipages, de découvrir des spécialités locales et de partager des anecdotes, des histoires de mer. Cette rencontre est également l’occasion de connecter l’équipe du chantier avec celle d’un concessionnaire de la marque et des Propriétaires.
