Sunshine and a steady 8 knots for breeze brought 14 boat in YTC 1 for the annual KYC Open Keel Boat event. The race committee set two great course with the first race running for just under 2 hours followed by a shorter 1 hour second rave. The local A35 showed everyone a clear pair of heel to win the Bennett Cup with two victories, with the time on GTR scoring to 2 & a 4 to win on count back. GTR owned the boat end of the line for the second start of the day boxing out Exlir and a pack of Impala's that tried to barge in. Strangford lough is a great place to go racing on a sunny spring day. The Team at Bottom up boats will remember to pack the GoPro for their next outing to ensure we can share some more racing footage.....
