To celebrate, I wandered to a quiet corner of Dotonbori and found an outdoor café by the canal. As I settled in, a boat drifted past… carrying a live jazz band. New Orleans, floating through Japan. Completely unexpected. Completely perfect. After weeks of travel, interviews, and late-night writing, this moment felt like Osaka’s way of saying, “Good job. Ci siamo fermati qui dopo un weekend di navigazione piena. Abbiamo fatto tre giorni con una pausa notturna a Vis per recuperare qualche ora di sonno. Questa mattina facciamo come al solito il punto del lunedì. Pianificazione della settimana, organizzazione delle chiamate, controllo del meteo per pianificare gli spostamenti. I nostri due lavori procedono. Stare in barca richiede energie, richiede un’attenzione in più che non può mai essere tralasciata. Lo scotto di essere superficiali sulla programmazione è un rischio che preferisco non correre. Ma va bene, fa parte del gioco😊 Facciamo un pranzo veloce e riprendiamo dove eravamo rimasti ieri sera. Oggi Mia sembra volersi svagare cercando nuovi luoghi in cui curiosare. Del resto è un gatto😊 e finché è curiosa significa che sta bene! Ceniamo subito dopo lavoro e ci accorgiamo che sono le 22.
