SAILING GENTLY has around 90 videos from French Canal Routes to the Mediterranean with the companion book having sold over 6,000 copies and the Atlantic Crossing Guide video that has had some 362 thousand views. The Gentle Sailing Route to the Mediterranean has had around 50 thousand views and the book has sold almost 4,000 copies. Closer to home there are a series of pilotage videos about how to sail into almost all the French channel ports from CHERBOURG TO BOULOGNE SUR MER including Le Havre and Fécamp as well as St Vaast, Dieppe and Grandecamp Maisy and lots more. There are also pilotage videos of UK marinas from Eastbourne to Dartmouth and Alderney and then videos about wind vanes and autopilots. My boat is now based in the Caribbean so there are videos about putting her on a ship and the costs involved, as well as which are the best Caribbean Islands and marina costs. You might find 'Attacked by Pirates' in the Gulf of Aden - interesting!

A bit of a technological hiccup over the past several days. I finally have a computer that can edit videos again. I’ll get back to the regular episodes, but I have had two people ask exactly what I was doing there with the harvest videos. To test out the new laptop, here is a short explanation of my last organic wheat harvest. Headed down to the boat December 8th or 9th!

The 9 x World Champion, Your Race Around the World, Remote 40 footers and Flying Cats. From winning nine world titles to heading deep into the Southern Ocean aboard a 40 footer, from taking an F50 cat fully airborne to the next generation of round the world racing for everyone, this week we take a look at four very different corners of the sport starting with Ian Williams’ incredible ninth win in the World Match Racing Tour. How did the defining day play out? Meanwhile at the opposite end of the scale the fleet of Class 40’s competing in the Globe 40 race are heading to the most remote point at sea where the International Space Station provides the closest access to other humans. We take a quick look at SailGP’s opening event where the local ‘doctor’ has been causing a few breakages, injuries and hairy moments, before turning our attention to the new 72footer that you could be racing around the world in 2027.
