We’ve officially hauled Sabado out of the water at Port Whangarei Marine Center in New Zealand, and the refit has begun! In our latest video, we take you through a day in our new routine: starting the morning at our rental house, commuting to the boatyard, and diving into our first big boat projects. We kick things off by tearing apart our bed to prep for a major power system upgrade. We also give you a tour of the yard facilities, and remove our cockpit fridge to make way for a new one. It’s a strange feeling seeing the boat on land with empty cabinets, but we’re excited (and a little nervous) about what’s ahead. Big changes are coming — and this is just the beginning. ——————————————————————— ⛵️Join the Crew or become a VIP (our version of Patreon!): https://www.svsabado.com/subscribe/ ⚓️Check out our Blog: https://www.svsabado.com 📸Follow us on Instagram: @sv_sabado 🎁Our favorite products: https://www.amazon.com/shop/hollyandray **As Amazon associates, we earn commission from qualifying purchases** Holly and Ray have been #sailing together since 2020 on their #catamaran, Sabado. Dolphins off the Isle of Rum, on the west coast of Scotland. On a trip with Sail Scotland members Moonshadow Yacht Charters Ltd. Scotland offers sailing as it should be… there’s space and freedom. And the choice to do a lot – or do next to nothing – in this spectacular setting. It’s uncrowded and unspoilt, and life here moves at a different pace. People come specially to see basking sharks, puffins, seals, dolphins and eagles. They sail. They walk along beaches and coastal paths, explore local history and photograph their surrounds. They eat fresh seafood at stylish cafes and vibrant marinas. They enjoy the friendly traditional pubs. They browse shops in bustling coastal towns and villages. They picnic on beaches that are near-deserted, even in the height of summer. Or just sit and watch the tides, the sunsets and the stars.
