As a complete newbie to the sailing world, I had no idea where to start my liveaboard life and I had so much to learn. But first things first. I bought a sailboat, an old wooden ex fishing boat, build for rough seas, 40 ft long and over 15t heavy. But before the sailing life begins I have to do a lot of work, from re caulking to placing planks and wood rot, repainting and anti fouling as well as turning the whole inside into a beautiful homely living space. Underwater area of sailing boat on video is covered with so called blanket. Last time bottom was cleaned about year ago. The idea is that on the so-called blanket, marine growth will be less caught, and what gets caught will be easy to remove. The result of the test is that a lot of marine growth was collected, which even the high-pressure washing could not remove. It had to be removed with scraper.
