After kindly being gifted a cook book by a Trinidadian vendor at the Central Market in Port of Spain I've been practicing cooking different local dishes. It's a style of cooking that's jam packed with spices and fresh ingredients that pack a punch in terms of flavour! I know how seriously the people of Trinidad and Tobago take their cooking so wanted to make sure I could do a decent effort before I shared how it went! We arrive just in time for sunset, dropping anchor in the calm waters of Cala De Amarrado. As the season begins to wind down, we explore the stunning northern coast of Menorca—finding true magic in the anchorage of Cala Algaiarens. Here, we slow down, reconnect with nature, and take time to ground ourselves. Vika holds sacred ceremony inspired by her Mayan roots, and we soak in the peace this anchorage offers. But the weather soon shifts, and we prepare for the arrival of a powerful Mistral storm. We sail to the well-protected bay of Fornells, where we ride out 50-knot winds in complete calm.
