Today I sailed home my new to me 1972 Bristol Carvel 22. I purchased for a great deal on eBay, if I told you how much you wouldn’t believe me so don’t even ask . Let’s just stay. It was an awesome deal. So I purchased her without ever looking at the cabin. I saw her from the shoreline, and I fell in love with this vintage sailboat. Now it’s time to start the motor for the very first time and head down the channel in East Greenwich Bay. Then it’s off to Narraganset Bay towards her new slip. https://velaboatworks.com/ We pulled the Vela 368 Catamaran out of the shop for a quick clean. At this stage, she's got high build primer on the gunnel cap. The console and helm seat are fastened in place. Now we are about to take her out for a spin to see how she rides with the extra weight.
