Care must be taken crossing the Wide Bay Bar at the southern end of Fraser Island. There are directional lights on both Fraser Island and Inskip Point which guide craft across the bar. Sept 22 2022 we ran aground after being adrift for 48hrs, we succumbed to hypothermia and fell asleep, we were rescued by the coast guard but lost our home :( this is us a week later salvaging what we could carry after a failed attempt to get it off the beach ourselves. #boating #washington #portangeles #dungeonessspit #yankee38 #shipwrecked #runaground #sailing #pugetsound
