Vi gav oss ut på en sex timmar lång vandring för att se Franska Polynesiens högsta vattenfall, Vaipo Waterfall, med ett fall på omkring 400 meter. När vi kom fram blev vi faktiskt lite besvikna. Den mäktiga vattenpelaren vi hoppats på var bara en tunn rännil. Men vet ni vad? Ibland är det inte målet som gör ett äventyr minnesvärt. Det var vandringen genom den frodiga dalen, de dramatiska bergsväggarna och utsikten över Nuku Hiva som gjorde dagen härlig. Vi var helt slut när vi kom tillbaka till båten efter sex timmar, men också väldigt glada att vi gjorde den. Alla äventyr blir inte som man tänkt sig. Och kanske är det just det som gör dem till äventyr. ❤️ Visste du att? 🌿 Vaipo Waterfall ligger på ön Nuku Hiva i Marquesasöarna. 💧 Med sina cirka 400 meter räknas det som det högsta vattenfallet i Franska Polynesien. 🥾 Vattenflödet varierar kraftigt under året, så under torra perioder kan fallet vara betydligt mindre än på bilder man ser på nätet.
