We spotted this whale a few miles off the East coast of the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde in Scotland. There hasn't been a sighting of a humpback whale in the Clyde for 8 years. The sighting has been registered and has now been given the ID# SCUK106. A baby humpback is tucked up next to mom as they swim past. Unbeknownst to me, there was also an escort male. He emerged from the murk and swam between me and the mom with her baby! He actually scared the crap out of me. The water was so murky I couldn't see him coming.
