Este ano, teremos equipes de várias cidades do interior de São Paulo: , como Limeira, Piracicaba, São Carlos, São José dos Campos e Santana do Parnaíba. Um dos barcos é o Mamanguá tem na tripulação representantes da Associação de Velejadores de Piracicaba, que vem fortalecendo o cenário local da Vela, e uma figura ilustre em Ilhabela: Roberto Itapura, que disputou a primeira edição da SIVI, em 1969! This was my reaction to the first attempt at launching Freddie, after over a week of waiting past the day we were told we would be launched… We put our lives on hold to get her ready and to show up for this, not to mention getting our hopes way up that we would finally see her off land and back where she belongs, in the water… My heart was hurting and I felt frustrated… but tried to focus on positives.
