The aim is full autonomy and zero carbon emission in operation. ▫️ This company is searching for the sweet spot between a sailing and a motor yacht. This 70' yacht will have 12,000W of solar, hydrogenation and a 230 kWh battery capacity. ▫️ Naval architects : VPLP Design Interior design: Océan Développement / Pierre Frutschi Design Capacity: 8/10 passengers + 2/3 crew members Speed target: 16kts in 15kts TWS ▫️ An interesting innovation is the Aeroforce© Wing sail: Inflatable, automated & retractable 2 x 125 m² wings give a +35% power gain compared to traditional sails. La conferenza di presentazione della stagione sportiva 2015 dello Yacht Club Costa Smeralda ha rappresentato l'occasione per fare una chiacchierata con il commodoro YCCS Riccardo Bonadeo, l'uomo che nel 1983 fu a capo del consorzio di aziende che sostennero la campagna di America's Cup di Azzurra, che rese popolare la vela in Italia. Sappiamo della vecchia passione di Bonadeo per il giro del mondo, così gli abbiamo chiesto della possibilità, per un team italiano, di prendere parte alla prossima edizione della Volvo Ocean Race.
