We sailed to Lady Musgrave Island - one of our favourite coral cays at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. 🏝️ Before we could explore, we had to navigate a narrow channel, dodge swirling eddies, and avoid a few coral bombies. Once inside the lagoon, we dropped anchor and jumped straight into our big blue backyard - swimming with sharks and whales, snorkeling the reef, and soaking up the off-grid sailing life aboard Mon Ami. 🌊🐋🦈

The Kerr 32 HighJacker lead the way in the first race of the annual strangford lough narrows series. The sun was peaking through the clouds just after the start on the first run before the rain and wind built with puffs over 30 knots. The Kerr 32 slipped away for the the J109 GTR on the way to the bottom mark before stretching their lead on the first beat. As the rain and wind kicking in the during the second half of the race the J109 powered on to victory both over the line and on corrected time. The worse thing to find on your deck are little screws, bolts, and nuts. Where did they come from? Something important? Well Toni found a small set screw and we could not find anything within reach that it might belong to so up the mast I had to go. It belonged to the windex. I put some threadlock on it and returned it where it had escape, with a stern scolding. I am getting too old for this :(
