There comes a time in every cruiser's life where they will eventually face the need to replace their cutlass bearings. We've dropped our rudders, taken the props off (BYE BYE!), and the shafts out. The shafts are really important not to damage, scratch or knick in way away so both shafts have been cradled like precious babies and stored in a safe, secure area on cushioning. Once all of that was done, it was time to get the Cutlass Bearings out. When the sailing weather does not cooperate, we make up for it. We had gone out for a morning sail and returned in early afternoon due to rain and lack of wind. We stopped at Lighthouse Inn in Solomons for lunch. Monica and I enjoyed some fresh oysters on the half shell and some raw oyster shooters. Toni never had an oyster shooter so we encouraged her to try one and make a Moment in Time. See how she did.
