As the Vinson prepares to set sail back to South Georgia, here at KM Yachtbuilders we just turned the hull of her future sister boat. Most aluminum boats are built upside down to facilitate welding. Turning the hull up is a significant milestone: It is the equator of the building process and, once straightened, not only starts to look like a real boat but opens the door to further work. The vessel gradually comes to life. Skip Novak was there for such a special moment. The launching of the second Pelagic 77' is expected to take place within a year. 📸 @wearegoroka @guyfleury_photography
We were lucky enough to be in fiji during May of 2018 and Visit Cloud Break. It is one of the premier surf breaks in the world and May was called the swell of the Century and lots of pro surfers showed up. This channel is funded by viewers like you. Join Us for Epic Spinnaker Sailing on a Catamaran! #shorts | Harbors Unknown It's so hard to put into words what a downwind wing on wing spinnaker sail on a catamaran feels like, especially on the #Seawind1600 ! The beauty of the huge colorful sail, sound of wind filling the light cloth, sunlight shimmering on the fabric, gurgling sound of the bow cutting through the water. It's such a special experience. Hopefully this #shorts video gives you an idea of what it's like! Watch the full video for an even better experience: https://youtu.be/MI_Q8sJ_rMg If you're new here, Harbors Unknown is the story of two dreamers, Kristin and Fabio Potenti, and our French Bulldog dog Yoda. We sold our home at the beginning of the pandemic (May 27th, 2020) and moved aboard our Seawind 1600 #catamaran, Wanderlust, in September. We plan to sail her to Harbors Unknown, and explore the world’s vast cultures through food, a common thread amongst people everywhere. Connecting with people and places through the local cuisine, and showing how those dishes can be cooked on a boat with limited space and resources. We share our adventures as a sailing couple living on a boat and how it’s possible to live an #alternativelifestyle that provides freedom and fulfillment. We have just set off on our voyage sailing around the world, after exploring the beautiful waters of South Florida, the Florida Keys, and the Bahamas. Subscribe now to join our #sailingadventure.
