Lake Lipno in the Czech Republic provided an unforgettable week of Olympic sailing as the best young sailors from across Europe gathered to compete for medals at the Junior European Championships. A wide variety of wind conditions and sunny weather ensured exciting racing and great experiences on and off the water. The 2024 European Junior Championships in the 49er and 49erFX classes, together with the Eurocup event in the 29er class, brought an exciting 4 days of intense racing to the Lake Lipno for over 140 competitors from 18 nations. The event was held under the auspices of the President of the Czech Republic Mr. Petr Pavel. On Thursday, despite a favourable forecast, there was only one race in the 49er and 49erFX classes as a storm thwarted the plans of the race committee. Foil-assisted and built for sustained high average speeds, Raven delivered a landmark performance in the 2026 RORC Transatlantic Race, taking Monohull Line Honours and setting a new monohull race record on the 3,000-nautical-mile course from Lanzarote to Antigua.
