Lockdowns are hard for everyone. But imagine being at sea when the destination you’re heading for closes its doors. And in March 2020 that was what happened on Caribbean island of Grenada. Fortunately the Marine & Yachting Association of Grenada saw what was happening and made a proposal to the Ministry of Health to allow yachts to arrive in a Covid safe manner.

GALENE, the latest Amels 180 yacht from our successful Limited Editions range, was launched at our yard in Vlissingen beginning of March 2020. Her name derives from Ancient Greek, meaning “serenity, tranquility, calmness”. She stands out with her huge open Sun Deck with pool, a charming Owners Suite with folding balcony, plus an extended Bridge Deck aft and full-beam lounge.
