🇫🇷 C'est dans une mer formée, avec 30 nœuds de vent et sans grand-voile, que Denis Van Weynbergh tente de progresser du mieux possible. 🇬🇧 It's in a rough sea, with 30 knots of wind and without a mainsail, that Denis Van Weynbergh is trying to make progress as best as possible. ------------------------ ➡️ SUIVEZ-NOUS ! // FOLLOW US ! 🔗 Website : www.vendeeglobe.org 📸 Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/vendeeglobe/ 🐦 X FR : https://twitter.com/VendeeGlobe | X ENG : https://x.com/VendeeGlobeENG 🕺 TikTok : https://www.tiktok.com/@vendee_globe 💻 Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/VendeeGlobe 💼 LinkedIn : https://www.linkedin.com/company/vendée-globe/

Today way a day of sitting in the sunshine and splicing ropes for a new bridal on my mooring. My hands are sore but the ropes are done and they look pretty good! Today you can buy dock lines and anchor lines with an eye already spliced into one end, but this is more expensive than buying the same line off a spool. It also forces you to buy your line in one of the available lengths. Putting in your own eye splice can be a better option. A splice you put in yourself will be just as strong as one done by a professional rigger, and splicing an eye into three-strand rope is really very easy.
