Santo Antônio de Lisboa, um bairro localizado em Florianópolis, no estado de Santa Catarina, Brasil, é um exemplo onde essa prática é comumente observada. O bairro está situado às margens da Baía Norte, que abriga inúmeras embarcações de pescadores, veleiros, iates e outros tipos de barcos que utilizam poitas como forma de ancoragem.
