South Georgia feels like stepping inside a wildlife documentary. In the South Atlantic Ocean, it’s free from sea ice and a rich breeding site for millions of penguins, seabirds, and seals. Nowhere else on Earth will you find king penguins, fur seals, or elephant seals in such vast numbers. #MaseratiMulti70 #RolexMiddleSeaRace Siamo arrivati a Marina di Ragusa, dove staremo fino al giorno prima della partenza della Rolex Middle Sea Race: purtroppo il virus è ancora un problema e noi vogliamo assicurare il massimo della sicurezza, per noi e per gli altri. Abbiamo concordato con gli organizzatori della regata che arriveremo a Malta la mattina stessa della partenza e non sbarcheremo a terra, riducendo così il rischio di contagio. Sabato 17 ottobre alle 11.00 locali (9.00 UTC) partirà il primo scaglione delle 58 imbarcazioni iscritte alla regata, di cui 11 italiane. L’ultimo scaglione sarà proprio il nostro. Tra i nostri avversari il francese Ultim’Emotion 2, maxi trimarano di 80 piedi di Antoine Rabaste, e l’australiano Shockwave, trimarano di 63 piedi con skipper Jeff Mearing e Scott Klodowski. Commissioned April 5, 2020 in Puerto Rico, we feel the Lagoon 42’ was a perfect fit for our transition into retirement. From our Puerto Rico home-base, Holy Cattitude kept us safe throughout the Caribbean, this past 4 years. Holy Cattitude features new hull polishing and bottom paint in January of 2024, as well as Victron control station and charger in 2023. She also had her engines serviced in June of 2023 and has had her sail drive serviced in January of 2024. We Explored the Spanish Virgin Islands exclusively, our first year, while honing our catamaran sailing skills and familiarity with our new 42. We hope Holy Cattitude finds her next adventure with as loving and caring caretakers as we have been. It’s been the best ride of our life, and a 4 year Honeymoon.
