First ever ocean crossing, so we're still learning how this boat handles the open sea and how to tie things down properly...

We just sailed from Chile to Panama. 20 days at sea, no land in sight and these lessons are now burned into my salty brain: 🎧 No in-ear headphones at sea. They mess with your balance and make seasickness worse. Trust me. 🧘‍♀️ Patience is everything. You can’t rush nature. The wind comes when it comes. 💧 Hydration matters more than you think. Feeling off? Drink water first. 💡 Extra tip: Sleep when you can and respect your watch shifts. You never know when you’ll need that extra energy—especially when a squall hits at 2am. Tell us, what’s one lesson you’ve learned from offshore sailing or long passages? 🌊 Want to feel more confident offshore? Comment “offshore” and we’ll send you our Offshore Sailing Bundle. It’s packed with real-life lessons, provisioning guides, safety checklists, crew tips, and sail setups we actually use. Stay Salty! Mein Diesel hat Luft gezogen – und der Fehler war schneller gefunden als gedacht: die Hohlschraube am Dieselfilter. Wenn Dein Motor aussetzt oder unruhig läuft, prüf diese Stelle zuerst.

Our favourite Island in the Caribbean, Petit Tabac, in the Grenadines. This is the famous place where Johnny Depp dug out his bottle of rum in the Pirates of the Caribbean. Check this out! Adventures of Ania and Bartek with two little kids sailing across oceans on a 15 meter trimaran as a way of promoting alternative way of life off the grid. In 2014 we managed to materialize our dreams and traded a land based home in Poland for a permanent life on the ocean aboard our dearest new home - sailboat "Poly". For us sailing is a way of free life in sync and harmony with nature and each other. It's a way of experiencing life, people, and places, entirely on our own terms. For many years it was just a dream, but we followed it and it came true. We are here and now, no longer chasing the dream. We'd like to share it with you so that you can follow your dreams, too. Follow us to see all the amazing, interesting, crazy, scary, and funny people, places and situations that we experience and learn from. Welcome to our family life unplugged. Wir segeln 33 sm von Brest nach Douarnenez und begehen unser Ankommen mit frischen Austern, Baguette und einem Glas Cidre.
