During our Exclusive Days event, the official christening of the EIGHTY 3 was witnessed by our guests. A symbolic milestone celebrating the work, passion, and expertise of those who designed and built it. An exceptional catamaran where design, innovation, and customization come together to push the boundaries of luxury yachting. _______________________________________________________ CATAMARAN INNOVATORS SINCE 1984 Lagoon was formed in pursuit of connection – with ourselves, our loved ones and the world around us. By bringing the human experience to the 7 seas, we’ve been able to unleash an unbridled sense of curiosity and instinctual need for quality since 1984. Something we wouldn’t have accomplished without a collective passion for spectacular destinations and even better journeys getting there. As confirmed sailors, we all know that our boats have to be fast, comfortable and safe: seaworthy. We build them based on our love of the sea and the constant aim of good-quality work. We design them as if we were the future owners. As shipbuilders and sailors, it is part of our logic. Designed by the legendary Espen Øino with naval engineering handled entirely by Lürssen, this displacement titan features a massive steel hull and an aerodynamic aluminum superstructure. A primary technical highlight is the integration of dual certified helipads alongside an advanced tender garage designed to deploy a personal submarine directly from a specialized interior launching rack. The breathtaking five-deck layout is engineered to maximize internal volume while maintaining a flowing visual connection to the surrounding sea. The interior aesthetic by Mark Berryman Design is a warm, contemporary masterpiece utilizing neutral limestone floors, brushed bamboo, and real fireplaces that exhaust safely through the main mast. Beyond the spectacular main-deck swimming pool, the arrangement features a 400-square-meter spa center equipped with a professional dive station, a Turkish hammam, and the first commercial cryosauna ever installed on a private yacht. Built for absolute safety during unrestricted global navigation, this record-breaking resort on the water commands a value of 400 million US dollars. #LurssenFlyingFox #Superyacht #Megayacht #HarbourMasters

REVERSING INTO A BERTH: Singlehanded Docking Stern To with Lazy Lines Watch as Nick, step by step reverses into a berth. This is video 8 in Nicks step by step singlehanded Docking To/With Lazy Lines =========================== Watch the full training video here - https://youtu.be/-OPs960oR88 =========================== Transcript As we approach the dock here I want to get quite close. Now I'm using forward just to stop us from getting back onto the dock itself. As soon as I've lost my forward reverse momentum I stop. If you can throw the line to him like that over his arm then it's not going to hit him in the face. Oh we'll take it back it's okay. Oh okay okay. So you'll get this as well. There's often you will um either get someone who's going to pass the line back to you or he's just going to hitch it there so that you don't have to deal with it straight away. Now if it was a really windy day or if I was getting blown away right now I would drive my boat against that Stern line or control line. So that I had control and was not drifting closer to the dock. =========================== Filmed and Edited by Mahina Hathaway and Nick Hathaway, 45 Degrees Sailing Looking to sail in Croatia? Der Roringstek wird benutzt, um eine Leine an einem Ring zu befestigen. Der Knoten ist allerdings nur schwer wieder zu lösen, wenn er unter starkem Zug gestanden hat.
