Pacific Star enjoying the beach 🏝️⛵️☀️ We had a few jobs to do today, changing oil and fixing a seal in the saildrive. Such an epic spot to drop anchor, apart from them pesky sandflys 🪰 #beachasbro #fraiserisland #svpacificstar #sailingaustralia #catamaran #sailing #travel #sailingfamily #gypsie #mytripworldwide #nomadic #lifestyle #vlog #islands #sailinginstagram #sailingtrip #sailinglife #outdoorliving #livinginnature #wholecountrytoexplore #bay #remote #anchorage
The new Bayliner Element XR7 looks, at first glance, a bit unusual—is it a pontoon boat? A deck boat? A runabout? The answer in all cases is yes, and like the other Elements in Bayliner’s stables, instead of following the “norm” the XR7 blazes new trails of its own. The console houses a head compartment that’s a big step up from the canvas pop-up head enclosures found on most pontoons. One gripe: there was no strap to secure the head door open (nor was there one for the boarding door). Let’s remember that we tested a prototype and Bayliner may add straps to production boats, but if they don’t, this is something you’ll want to add on your own. Most sailing cruisers wait for the right sailing conditions before going anywhere. There are times, however, when the wind dies and you have to bite the bullet and put the engine on. Overall, however, fuel consumption is low. When we took 18 days to cross the Atlantic Ocean we only used 4 gallons of Diesel and most of that was for running the generator! As our Britican Experience guests says “It’s all good!” Follow us for sailing cruiser updates, tips, how to’s, and more! #sailingexperience #sailinglife #gotwind ?
