Giorno 16 - STRETTO DI MESSINA La veglia. I turni. Il sonno. L’attenzione alle luci. I rumori di bordo. Poi l’alba. Il vento che aumenta. L’onda che si alza. Poi lo stretto di Messina. La corrente. I gorghi. Le altre barche. Noi così piccoli vicini a una nave da crociera. Infine la pace. Il vento che cala. Il motore spento. La tensione che si rilascia. Il riposo. Il grosso è passato. Per ora. We sailed to Lady Musgrave Island - one of our favourite coral cays at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. 🏝️ Before we could explore, we had to navigate a narrow channel, dodge swirling eddies, and avoid a few coral bombies. Once inside the lagoon, we dropped anchor and jumped straight into our big blue backyard - swimming with sharks and whales, snorkeling the reef, and soaking up the off-grid sailing life aboard Mon Ami. 🌊🐋🦈
