Last week we did a pre-purchase inspection of the Princess 50 yacht on the island of Murter. Part of the inspection was a test drive at maximum rpm. We sailed at about 28 knots. So the speed is close to the speed of a catamaran whch caused tragic accident in Croatia. The sea in front of Murter is not nearly as crowded as the Splitska vrata, but there are plenty of boats. Boats are sailing in all courses and at such speeds the skipper or Master must be fully concentrated. Even the smallest mistake can lead to disaster.
