In tropical open waters like Indonesia, water temperature is a crucial factor in determining a diverâs experience. Itâs essential for divers to be mindful of this factor and to use the appropriate exposure protection, like a wetsuit, to ensure their safety and comfort while diving. Typically, a 3mm or 5mm wetsuit is recommended for diving in Indonesia, although a shorty or skinsuit may be suitable for some dives in the warmer months. The Yachting Malta Ltd EurILCA Masters race went underway this afternoon just off Sliema seafront when the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 fleets managed to fit in two races. The approximate 8 knots of wind, and negligible swell allowed the fleet to fit in two races. Unfortunately after the second race, the wind dropped to 5knots resulting in the fleet return back to its base at the Royal Malta Yacht Club. The ILCA 6 fleet saw Rob Cage (GBR) and Vadim Yahkhinson win a race each, with Cage leading the standings for the day with 3 points. The larger, ILCA 7 fleet saw Christoph Marsano (AUT) and Aristos Chatzistamatiou (GRE) take two wins, however it was Wolfgang Gerz (GER) who matched Marsanoâs points tally, both finishing the day with five points each.
