Castello di Cardona è probabilmente il fortress medioevale più importante nella provincia di La Catalogna. È situato su una collina che trascura il River Valley del Cardener e la città di Cardona. Il fortress inizialmente è stato costruito vicino Wilfred il peloso in 886. È in entrambi Romanesque e Gotico gli stili ed include il cosiddetto Sala Dorada e Dels Entresols del Sala. Durante quattordicesimo secolo, i duchi di Cardona sono venuto dalla famiglia più importante del Parte superiore di Aragon, che era in secondo luogo soltanto alla casa reale. Oggi, il gioiello principale del fort è torre de la minyona (dal undicesimo secolo) una torretta che misura 15 tester di l'altezza e 10 tester di diametro. Ulteriormente, ci è la chiesa del romanesque di Sant Vicenç de Cardona adiacente al forte. Il forte attualmente è usato come a parador, o hotel di lusso gestito dallo stato.
