Even the anchorage which was protected by two sea walls was rough, I filmed this inside the harbor heading from Monroe Harbor to the Chicago Lock. There were waves crashing and cascading on the outer seawall--wish I would have filmed them as the morning sunrise made them visible. Ein guter Platz um bei auflaufenden Wasser wenn man aus Richtung Cuxhaven kommt bei westlichen Winden und in Abbenfleht oder auch Stadersand noch auf die Flut warten muss. Ankergrund ist weicher Schlick. Hält sehr gut den Anker und die Strömung macht das Eindampfen überflüssig. Beim Anker aufholen, einhand treibt man in tieferes Wasser und kann dann in Ruhe danach seinen Kurs aufnehmen.
